Memorial Day Weekend

Karlee & I LOVE it when the boys take off to Fathers & Sons B-Ball Camp at BYU!!! We get to spend the weekend playing in Herriman with B & Brad!!

On Sunday, the Fathers & Sons are all bussed from BYU to Temple Square for The Spoken Word in the Tabernacle. Karlee & I always meet them there.

After The Spoken Word, we follow them to the Assembly Hall for Sacrament Meeting. What an awesome way to spend our Sunday!!! This is Paul (Britt's favorite guy), Britt & Sam

Pa & Karlee

After Sacrament Meeting, we say goodbye to the boys. They head up to This Is The Place Park for lunch and we hang around Temple Square for a bit.

Karlee & I decorated Mom & Dad's grave.

We even decorated B&B's front door.

And did I mention Karlee drove us everywhere? She'll be 16 next month and is currently in driver's ed and doing really well!!! (Wow - she is truly growing up fast!)

Our Very Last AYSO Soccer Game :'(

This has been a year of "lasts". Last month we had our last comp b-ball game:'( Today we had our last AYSO soccer game :'( Today's game was so fun because Garet played forward. He usually plays defender, so it was way fun watching him at forward.

Garet's on far right attempting a goal!

The next 5 pix are what should have been a goal...

Basement Baby Steps #3

Painting was exciting, albeit extremely taxing on the body, patience, and checkbook. BUT it's done!! ...kind of. We have a ton of touch-up to do. Which I will be doing over the next few weeks...

Before (primer coat done last week)

During (ceilings painted by these amazing folks)

After (walls painted...& still wet!)

Basement Baby Steps #2

Well...in about 3 hours we got the whole basement primer painted! (SO glad we listened to B & rented a paint sprayer - SO WORTH THE COST!) Not a HUGE difference in the pix, BUT an amazing difference in real life. We are getting so excited!!

Music to My Ears

We LOVE to hear the Sandhill Crane each spring. They are so much fun to watch. As I stood on my front porch this morning, I got to watch this couple meander the ridgeline.

Sandhill Crane are huge birds: 47 inches tall with an 80 in wingspan. And they stay together as a couple. We have loved watching and listening to "our" Sandhill Crane ever since we moved here - 17 years now!

Our LAST Choir Concert with Miss May

This whole night was a night of lasts...This is our last choir concert of the year AND our last choir concert with Miss May as our Choir Director. :'( We have LOVED her so dang much. She is so good with the kids, such a great director. Our choirs take 1sts ALL THE TIME! We are so sad that she's leaving us for the bigger & better Davis High. What a great opportunity for her and for those kids at Davis!

Our LAST Comp B-Ball Game Probably EVER

So bitter-sweet to watch the last game we'll play as a comp team. Why? What's next? Well...fall is High School b-ball try-outs. We're all hoping and praying our boys make the High School team!

I really love the pix of the team gathered around the coaches. Much thanks to Parker, Mitch, & Jeff for coaching our boys all these years!!!

These last four pix are a sequence of Garet driving to the net. 4 on 1.

Oh how I've loved watching these boys play ball!
