Truck Shoot

Yes. I love taking pix of my gorgeous Karlee. She isn't always willing to let me do so, but today I FORCED her to let me take some pix of her. You see Prom is Saturday - YAY! - and I'll be taking pix of her and Duane all spit shined and looking amazing!!! My good friend Holly just happens to be Duane's Mama, and she & I kind of wanted to use Mike's green truck as the back drop for the photos. Here's the hard part. The kids will not be ready to have their pix taken until about 4pm. So... today after church - about 4:15-ish - Karlee & I headed over to the green truck to take some practice pix and this is the results.

The sun was a bit too harsh...

But she still looked cute anyways!

Then we headed over to Mike's cabin. Thank goodness Mike lives next door :) ! These pix turned out much better. I think we'll take the pix at the cabin instead!

And of course, I love to tweak the photos too!

It's True Love

Times like today I remember why I keep my husband around! ;) I awoke from a much needed sleep after a very taxing call shift at work to find a card and some goodies on the kitchen counter:

Jeff, thank you for the awesome Valentine's treats! I Love mini eggs, chewy sprees and have already eaten half of my dozen chocolate covered strawberries!!! Let's go to Zupas!!!

I love you, Jeff! Thank you for spoiling me, even tho I don't deserve it!

Double Whammy

I labeled this post "Double Whammy" not because of our back-to-back kids activities of Garet's game at 5:15 then watching Karlee dance at varsity half-time - approximately 7:45-ish, but because of the leaders that showed up unannounced to support BOTH our kids! How blessed my kids are to have such amazing leaders.

Tonight's Garet's game was a tough one against Grantsville, but yet awesome because Garet's scout group and leaders showed up to watch him play. You can see them in the background holding the home-made sign. One of the leaders told me they had to stop the kids from painting Garet's name on their chests and showing up to the game shirtless. Haha. That would've been interesting!

Then how fun it was to see Karlee's Young Women leaders & girls there to watch her dance the varsity half-time. What awesome love & support Karlee felt to have them there!

We are so grateful & blessed to be among these fine people that comprise our ward. Thank you, thank you!
