Grandma's Day @ Boondocks!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving was fantastic like usual!!  The food was delish and the company divine!

 

B&B took this family pic of us.  We all THOUGHT it was just to get a great pic of us, BUT really Paul & Annie had this all planned out.  B was taking the pix and was saying stuff like, "say cheese" and kept snapping pix, THEN she said, "Annie's pregnant with twins!!!"  We were all stunned, thinking what the heck, not even really thinking she was serious???  We all just kept standing there smiling for the pix like idiots... when it all of a sudden clicked and we were all SOOOOO excited!!!  YAY!!!  ANNIE'S PREGNANT WITH TWINS!!!!

Eagle Court of Honor

 Garet & Duane shared their Eagle Court of Honor tonight.  These two boys are fantastic young men!

Taylor's Farewell

It is so hard to believe that today was actually Elder Taylor Mark Perry's farewell.  He got his call in June and it seemed like we had forever until we had to say goodbye to him. Today got here fast!  Taylor did a fantastic job at the podium, bringing tears to our eyes - especially to his parents with the compliments and love he expressed.  He is a great kid!

 

On Wednesday he heads off to the Provo MTC for an undetermined amount of time until he flies to Brazil - darn VISAs!!!  He was originally going to fly straight to the Sao Paulo Brazil MTC.  Oh well.  This is fun.  Now this cute little daughter of mine can mail packages and goodies to him in Provo.  (Karlee plans to have a package sent to him on his first day there!!!)

 

We are really going to miss this handsome young man in our home and in our lives.  It has been fun getting to know Mark & Lisa's son.  They have done a great job raising him and I am positive he'll make an effective missionary.

I got to take some pix of Duane today!  He has such a fun personality and is so very handsome too.  We really do love this kid.  He's always smiling and always cracking us up!  Thanks, Duane, for being such a great friend to the Stokes Folks!

Just Girl Stuff

Well.  Karlee is officially a model.  She interviewed for and posed for pix for Just Girl Stuff - a formal dress shop in Riverdale.  She was one of 10 chosen from about 60 girls and she is so very excited. 

 

Her winning pic.  Easy to see why she was chosen.  She is so beautiful!  Red is definitely her color!

Their first modeling show.  All the girls were a bit nervous tonight because they kind of went in blind.  Most of them had never done this sort of thing before and tonight they were required to walk and pose in front of an audience, without any real training.  They all did great and looked so beautiful!
