Our First Day in Paradise

Our first day in Paradise was spent hanging out at the Hale Koa Hotel - the military hotel resort. The hotel was beautiful and awesomely located right on Waikiki beach - NW of the main beach populus, so there actually weren't as many people on the beach as I was expecting to see. Garet & I snorkeled in the ocean and Karlee swam in the ocean & sunbathed on the beach.

David & Cindy walked down the beach from their hotel to ours. We think it was like 2-3 miles-ish. It was fun playing on the beach & having lunch with them.

That first night, we ALL met at the Yard House on Lewers Street. Here is Pa, Gway, & Garet waiting outside the restaurant for the rest of my family to get there.

So, I guess the Yard House got its name from the yard tall "glass" of beer they would serve. Now they only serve it by the half yard, which is what David has. Very happily, that is.

Jon partook of the half-yard of beer as well.

Dinner was delish, and it was awesome being with my whole fam!
