A Cold $200

So, I've got a question for you. What do you do with that extra $200 in your pocket (or checking account)? Do you hit the mall? (Yay!) Do you go on a hot date? (Yay!) Do you transfer it into savings like a responsible adult? (Boring!) Do you START your Christmas shopping? (Yay!)
.
Well, not me. Let me tell you what I do with that extra $200. I take our retarded Mr. Peach to the vets for surgery - YAY!!! He came home Thursday night with what we thought was a broken leg. He wasn't walking on it and it was so swollen & painful. And because he was really hurting he wasn't taking care of his coat. He looked like a mangy stray cat instead of our beautiful puff ball.
.
Thankfully he just had a HUGE abscess on his leg; a bite from a cat fight. It was swollen from almost his arm pit down to his wrist. They had to sedate him to drain & clean it out. $200. We were so lucky that it wasn't a broken leg - that surgery starts at $1000 if they have to fix the bone with hardware. Geez...
.
AND thankfully, I had that extra $200 & hadn't made it to Buckle yet!!!

Mr. Peach was starving when we got him home. He was great entertainment, being gorked on meds. We laughed & laughed at him. Here he can't even remain standing as he's eating.

A few seconds later the front legs collapsed too.

Here's his fixed arm. You can see the red spot right in the middle of the shaved spot. That's a cat tooth puncture.

Mr. Peach is lounging in front of the fireplace on Garet's robe - one of his favorite things to snuggle on. You can kinda see the surgery site on the inside of his arm - right by the orange football on the robe.

You're lucky we love you, Mr. Peach!
