Pike Place Market

Pike Place Market is one of my favorite places! We spent our last day here today with Jon, just walking around the market and then down onto the waterfront. What a gorgeous day... 75-ish degrees!

Jeff & the kids watching this little shop make donuts!

You might wonder what's on this wall...

It's gum!! It's the famous Gum Wall. Garet added his piece of gum too! Rumor has it they used to clean the gum off, but eventually gave up... I couldn't get my family to pose in front of the wall. I think they were worried that some disease might jump onto their backs when they weren't looking.

The Famous Brass Pig is actually a ginormous piggy bank. The city collects about $10,000 each year that they use to help maintain the market.

My street rats taking a breather. Because you know how hard vacations are...

In the downstairs of Pike Place Market

And... you get a choromosomal lesson in the bathrooms... I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not...

Kids just chillin' on the Pier

Karlee & I heading up the stairs from the waterfront back to Pike Place Market.

This one-"person"-band menagerie was rather interesting. And I say "person" because from the back - which is the side I saw first - I really thought I was looking at a girl... but upon further inspection I noticed that that was not the case... On the streets of Seattle you never know what you'll see.
